Isabella Hernandez

Costume Designer

Isabella Hernandez is a graduating senior of Baylor University. She is currently majoring in Biochemistry with a secondary in Theater Technology and Design emphasizing in costume design. She has been the assistant to the costume designer in shows including Yerma, Much Ado About Nothing, and Footloose. She has also done numerous personal projects for school and otherwise that have added to her portfolio of work and skills. Isabella excels at working under pressure and maintaining a level of professionalism and diligence in all that she does. Upon graduation, Isabella will be attending University of Texas McGovern Medical School in pursuit if a Doctorate in Medicine. She hopes to continue her involvement with local theaters as a means of expressing her creativity and passion for design.

Footloose

I worked closely with the Costume Designer to realize their vision in the shop, pulled pieces for the show and helped construct specific looks. I then crafted unique paperwork for tracking and use of each costume.

Baylor University Production Fall 2021

Headpiece (class project)

I was given a rendering and worked closely with the designer to bring their vision to life. Utilized different methods including paper mâché, digital design, laser cutting, and foam patterning.

Dice Box (personal project)

I designed and constructed a functional storage box for several sets of dice. This intricate box was a completely unique design and made for use in any table top role playing game as it functions as both storage and detachable rolling tray.
