Aaliyah Carter

Actor, Director, Dramaturg, Historian

Aaliyah Carter (she/her) is a senior BFA Performance major from Bryan, Texas. She has been performing since the age of 5 and her love for the arts has only increased as she has grown older. Her most recent credits at Baylor include Cassie in The Grown Ups, Antonio in The Tempest, and Dunn in Men On Boats.

Aside from theatre, Aaliyah is also passionate about directing, theatre history and research and dramaturgy. Inspired by her teachers and role models growing up, When Aaliyah is not acting, she spends a lot of her time as a mentor and coach for middle and high school students pursuing the arts and a researcher with her specialization being in African American Studies.

After graduation, Aaliyah strives to keep learning and attend graduate school for anything and everything she can (MFA or PhD). She is excited for what the world has to offer!
