Kayla Bush

Actor, Dramaturg

Kayla Bush is a senior BA Theatre Arts and Professional Writing & Rhetoric double major from Waco, Texas. She is preparing to graduate in May 2024. Her most recent Baylor Theatre credits include Olga in Three Sisters, Jessie in Cry It Out, and Mum in A Monster Calls. She is thrilled to take to the water as Sumner in Men on Boats this February at Baylor. In addition to performance, Kayla recently began exploring the world of dramaturgy—the perfect intersection of her two majors. Between rehearsals, she can be found assisting in new play development and crafting lobby displays and audience guides for Baylor’s mainstage productions.

A native of Waco, Kayla is eager to see what the post-collegiate world has in store outside of her familiar Baylor bubble. Theatre gave Kayla a voice, and she is ready to continue sharing the joy and validation of that gift with other artists.
