Friends
I was the Costume Designer for Baylor Theatre’s spring 2024 production of Friends by Abe Kōbō. This was my first time designing for a show and it was an amazing experience. The design team had a grant from Baylor that allowed us to go to Japan for a week in the summer of 2023. This trip included many activities and research and we were able to collaborate with the director while we were on the trip. This show was placed in modern-day Japan, so I was able to pull pictures from this trip to inspire my designs. I paid close attention to detail while helping execute the director’s vision for the show.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
I was the Assistant Costume Designer to Bailey Kaye Cole and Wardrobe Supervisor for Baylor Theatre’s fall 2024 production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. This was a large-scaled production including 26 cast members. I was included in many discussions of stage blood and how we would execute that idea. My responsibilities as the Assistant Costume Designer included being at fittings, helping the designer with historical research, and staying up to date on paperwork. Transitioning from Assistant Costume Designer to Wardrobe Supervisor was challenging, but full of many learning experiences. My responsibilities for Wardrobe Supervisor included the run sheets, dressing lists, as well as being at every tech rehearsal and show leading a crew of students on the wardrobe team.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
I was the Assistant Costume Designer to Hannah Prochaska for Baylor Theatre’s fall 2023 production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. I was assisting a guest designer who lived out of state, which taught me the importance of communication while she was away. This show had a large cast of 26 and many moving parts. One of the ideas the designer had was the importance of motifs throughout the show. We worked with rubber stamping and different techniques to pull these motifs into the show. I was also tasked with being at the fittings and staying up to date on all of the paperwork.
