Lyla Joy Meece is a senior BFA Performance major at Baylor University, concentrating in Musical Theatre with a minor in Entrepreneurship. Her recent Baylor Theatre credits include Maeve in The Grown-Ups, Allison in the BNPI staged reading of Janielle Kastner’s Here Kitty Kitty, and Ensemble/Dance Captain in Alice By Heart. Lyla discovered her love for performance through acting for film, and that passion quickly expanded into theatre, music, and dance. She is drawn to storytelling that is grounded, collaborative, and emotionally honest, and she brings both precision and heart to her work in rehearsal and performance. Upon graduation, Lyla plans to move to New York City to pursue a career in the performing arts, with the goal of continuing to tell meaningful stories across stage and screen.
